About Natare
Who is Natare?
Natare is one of the world’s most respected stainless steel pool manufacturers and suppliers of custom equipment for commercial swimming pools, water parks, and aquatic centers. We are composed of expert-level professionals that are dedicated to making your project ideas come to life.
Whether it’s an innovative, multi-purpose aquatic facility, elevated specialty pool, exotic resort pool or unique water feature, we provide state-of-the-art construction and design methods for projects that would otherwise be too expensive, difficult, or time-consuming.
Natare is the Latin verb meaning “to swim,” and everything we do is committed to this purpose.
What We Do
Natare provides the technical expertise, quality equipment and essential components for swimming pools and aquatic facilities throughout the United States and internationally.
Our engineered pool systems meet the needs of today’s most innovative aquatic facilities. We not only build and design indoor, outdoor and elevated swimming pools; we provide systems for zero-depth entry and beach pools, wet playgrounds and water features including fountains and spray heads.
A History of Excellence
The heritage of Natare dates to the late 1950s and 1960s. Back in the time when amateur swimming and powerful university swimming programs in Indiana produced some of the most outstanding competitive swimmers and teams in the nation. At the same time, the first leisure pools and water parks were beginning to appear, including the very first wave pool, forever changing the concept of swimming, aquatic recreation, and water features.
Recognizing the need for high-quality equipment and systems for commercial and public pools and aquatic facilities, the company that would become Recreonics Corporation was founded in 1969. Later, in the late 1970s and 1980s, the first true international natatorium facilities appeared, and our concepts, equipment, and systems set the standard.
Founding Natare
Natare was formed in 1992, resulting from the division of Recreonics Corporation into two distinct, separately owned companies. Natare Corporation was created as the continuation of the commercial systems, manufacturing, construction systems, and (Delifol/Natatec) PVC lining systems of the “old” Recreonics Corporation, while the distribution business become Recreonics, Inc. Natare has been in business under the Recreonics name since its inception.
Since then, we have been the leader in design, manufacturing, and supply of the systems that allow the successful construction and operation of facilities from international natatoriums and Olympic facilities to pools for schools, hospitals, hotels, resorts, and communities.
Employee-Owned
In early 2022 Natare officially became an Employee-Owned Company after being in business for over 50 years. The decision was made to preserve the Natare culture and reward its invaluable employees who have helped grow the company into the world-renowned aquatics leader it is today.
