Famous Natare Pool to appear on New TV Show
THE MARINA BAY SANDS’ SKYPARK POOL, MANUFACTURED BY NATARE, WILL BE FEATURED ON “THE POOL MASTER,” JULY 18TH.
Update: Original post stated July 11th, but producers changed the date to July 18th.
A brand new TV Show on the Animal Planet Channel is not necessarily about animals…it’s all about swimming pools. The Pool Master is hosted by “the irresistibly charming British swimming-pool designer,” Anthony Archer-Wills. He has based his career around designing pools that look “as if they were put there by nature.”
According to Animal Planet producers, each episode is devoted to one of Archer-Wills’s pool projects, but each show will also feature incredible swimming pools from around the world. At least one of those amazing pools has been manufactured right here in Indianapolis by Natare.
Natare Corporation was contacted by the producers of The Pool Master, requesting technical information about the famous Skypark Pool that sits atop the 56th floor of Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Measuring 478 feet long, almost three Olympic swimming pools in length, the Skypark pool is the world’s largest infinity-edge pool at that height.
One of the most incredible technological feats in the pool industry, Natare engineered this stainless steel swimming pool to allow for the swaying of the three skyscrapers in every direction. The pool also adjusts to maintain its level flow along the horizon of the infinity edge, even as the three buildings settle into the ground at different rates over the years.
“The Pool Master” premiered June 20th, 2014, and airs weekly on the Animal Planet Channel. The episode airing on July 18th will feature the Marina Bay Sands pool. See your local TV listings for show times. Watch the Animal Planet trailer here.
