Project Overview

Doddridge County Park Pool in West Union, WV, originally opened in 1978, is currently undergoing a transformative renovation to address persistent water loss and modernize its aging infrastructure. The 82’ x 45’ pool had been experiencing significant water leakage for at least two years, prompting the need for a comprehensive update to ensure its functionality and longevity.

Key Renovation Features

• Natare AWS Pool System: The renovation features the installation of a Natare All-Welded Pool System, designed for complete watertightness, exceptional structural integrity, and long-term performance.
• Perimeter Pool Gutters: Stainless steel gutters were incorporated for improved water circulation and management.
• Natatec® PVC Pool Lining System: A high-performance PVC lining system will be installed to ensure a watertight finish by sealing the pool completely from the gutter down.
• Drain Systems: Updated main drains and sump drains were included to optimize water flow and safety.

Additions and Upgrades

• Stair Section: A new stair section was added for safer and more accessible entry.
• Future Slide Well: A dedicated well for a future slide installation was incorporated, enhancing the pool’s versatility and recreational potential.

Timeline and Completion

The installation of the pool walls and gutters was efficiently completed in just two weeks. This marked a significant milestone in preserving a community asset and ensuring it remains a hub for recreation for years to come.
