Natare designs stainless steel pool construction systems to deliver durable, watertight, and predictable aquatic environments. These systems are used in commercial, institutional, hospitality, and specialty applications where structural integrity and long-term performance are essential.
Natare offers two stainless steel construction systems:
- All-Welded Stainless Steel (AWS)
- Structural Panel System (SPS)
Both systems are engineered using the same structural principles but serve different project conditions.
Each system is pre-engineered for the specific project. Geometry, depth, finishes, delivery method, and installation conditions are coordinated early to ensure performance throughout the pool’s service life.
All-Welded Stainless Steel Pool Systems (AWS)

AWS systems are fully welded stainless steel pool structures fabricated to project-specific dimensions.
Once assembled, the AWS system forms a single, continuous watertight structure.
Key characteristics include:
- Fully welded stainless steel shell construction
- Integrated floor, wall, and buttress support systems
- Stainless steel water distribution built into the structure
- Custom-engineered pool geometry
AWS systems are commonly used for:
- Competition and training pools
- Elevated and rooftop pools
- Architecturally complex installations
- Projects requiring maximum structural rigidity
AWS systems may incorporate:
- Polished stainless steel
- Natatec® PVC membrane lining systems
- Ceramic tile
- SafeStep Polymer (AWS only)
- Other project-specific finishes

Structural Panel Pool Systems (SPS)
Stainless Steel Systems
SPS systems utilize heavy-gauge stainless steel wall panels that are bolted together on-site and supported by an engineered stainless steel buttress system.
SPS systems are only offered with Natatec® PVC membrane lining systems, which provide the watertight interior surface and are an integral part of the SPS design.
Key characteristics include:
- Modular stainless steel wall panels
- Bolted panel assembly
- Welded stainless steel gutter systems
- Primarily used for in-ground installations

Stainless Steel Pools Delivery Methods
Natare offers multiple delivery methods depending on site access, schedule, and project complexity.
Pre-engineered parts are delivered to the jobsite on manageable skids (typically under 3,000 lbs). Major welding is completed on-site.
This method allows components to fit through freight elevators and tight access points but requires more time on-site.
Floor and wall panels are pre-assembled in the factory with buttress systems attached prior to shipping. Equipment is required to move sections into position.
This approach reduces overall time on-site compared to stick built construction.
Pools are pre-assembled into large welded sections in the factory.
Each section includes floor, walls, and structural supports. This method further reduces field assembly time but requires lifting equipment and may involve oversized freight considerations.
The pool is fully constructed and hydrostatically tested at the factory before shipment.
Equipment is required for lifting and placement. This option results in the least amount of on-site construction time, subject to site access constraints.
Delivery method selection is based on logistics, structural access, crane availability, schedule, and overall project goals.

Lining Systems
- Natatec® PVC membrane lining systems are available for both AWS and SPS systems.
- For SPS systems, the membrane is required as part of the structural design.
- For AWS systems, Natatec® may be selected as an interior finish option depending on project requirements.
