Natatec® by RENOLIT is a reinforced PVC membrane pool lining system specifically engineered for commercial aquatic facilities.
This multi-layered membrane system serves as both:
- A durable interior finish
- A complete waterproofing system
The Natatec® membrane consists of two flexible PVC layers laminated to a reinforced inner polyester mesh core.
The result is a dense, high-quality membrane designed to create an attractive, watertight, and long-lasting pool surface. Originally introduced to North America in 1986, Natatec® has become a preferred solution for renovation and new construction commercial pool projects. Natatec® systems are specifically developed for commercial applications but may also be incorporated into select residential projects requiring commercial-grade durability.
Suitable for All Pool Construction Types
Natatec® PVC membrane systems can be installed in:
- Stainless steel pools

- Existing pools undergoing renovation

When used with Natare stainless steel systems, the membrane is integrated into the engineered assembly. In concrete or other structures, Natatec® functions as a standalone waterproofing and finish system installed over a properly prepared substrate.
Installation Technology System
Natatec® is not a coating or paint. It is a mechanically secured and custom-fitted membrane system installed on-site.
The installation process includes:
- Surface preparation of the pool structure
- Installation of mechanical fastening profiles
- Custom fitting of membrane sections
- Hot-air welding of seams for watertight continuity
- Detailed finishing around penetrations, drains, gutters, and fittings
The reinforced membrane spans cracks, joints, and structural imperfections without losing elasticity. Because it is flexible, it accommodates movement within the structure without cracking or delaminating.
Unlike plaster or coatings:
- It does not alter water chemistry
- It does not require annual resurfacing
- It reduces long-term maintenance demands
The non-porous surface helps prevent algae and bacteria growth while simplifying cleaning.
