Stainless Steel
Pool Systems

for New Aquatic Construction

New aquatic construction projects require coordination from the earliest stages of design. Structural loads, mechanical systems, circulation, finishes, and access features must align before construction begins.

Natare supports new construction by providing pre-engineered stainless steel pool systems, equipment, and technical services designed to integrate efficiently into modern buildings.

Pool construction does not begin in the field.

It begins at Natare’s production facility in Indianapolis, Indiana, where stainless steel pool and spa structures, gutters, bulkheads, GPM™ grating, filtration systems, and more components are fabricated and assembled before delivery to the project site.

This controlled manufacturing approach supports predictable installation and long-term system performance.

Early Design and Engineering Coordination

Union Denver – 3

New construction provides the opportunity to coordinate pool systems directly with the building structure and mechanical systems.

Early involvement supports accurate structural calculations, clear detailing, and reduced field conflicts during construction.

Natare works with project teams to align pool design with:

  • Structural loading requirements
  • Slab interfaces and deck elevations
  • Mechanical room layouts
  • Circulation and recirculation routing
  • Access planning and equipment locations

OUR GOAL IS TO HELP MAKE YOUR PROJECT A SUCCESS  FROM INCEPTION AND DESIGN TO CRITICAL FABRICATION, FIELD SUPPORT, AND BEYOND.

Fabrication and Delivery Process

Where Quality Pool Systems Begin

Construction of Natare stainless steel pools, equipment, and systems begins at the manufacturing facility.

In-house production departments fabricate:

  • Stainless steel pool structures
  • Hydrotherapy pools and spas
  • Perimeter gutter systems
  • GPM™ polymer grating
  • Bulkheads and headwalls
  • Filtration systems
  • Main drains

Once fabricated, systems are delivered to the project site where Natare installation teams or qualified specialty contractors perform assembly.

This prefabrication process reduces field fabrication, shortens installation timelines, and improves dimensional accuracy.

Structural Efficiency for Modern Buildings

Stainless steel construction offers a high strength-to-weight ratio compared to conventional concrete construction.

This structural efficiency supports:

  • Elevated installations
  • Rooftop pools
  • Podium deck applications
  • Urban sites with structural constraints

Because stainless steel systems are self-supporting, whether empty or filled, they can be coordinated with modern building structures without excessive dead load.

Integrated Systems and Finishes

2017-06-07_union_denver-20-Fix-1

New construction allows full integration of pool systems and finishes.

Options may include:

  • Perimeter overflow gutter systems
  • Skimmer systems or wall inlets
  • Natatec® PVC membrane lining systems
  • Ceramic tile finishes

  • Polished stainless steel interiors
  • Bulkheads and headwalls
  • GPM™ polymer grating systems
  • Integrated access systems

All components are engineered to work together as part of a coordinated aquatic system.

Qualified Contractor Partnerships

Natare maintains relationships with select and qualified specialty contractors in certain geographic areas.

In many regions, exclusive partnerships with experienced pool contractors support efficient installation and consistent quality control. These partnerships help ensure that systems are installed according to engineering standards and project specifications.

Designed for
Long-Term Performance

New aquatic facilities are long-term investments.

Natare stainless steel systems are engineered to:

  • Maintain structural integrity over decades of use
  • Support predictable water management
  • Reduce reliance on buried piping
  • Allow maintenance while empty
  • Provide durable, corrosion-resistant construction

This long-term approach supports facility owners and operators throughout the life of the building.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should Natare be involved in a new construction project?
Natare is typically engaged during early design phases to coordinate structural, mechanical, and circulation systems, though systems can be incorporated later if required.
There are many advantages to choosing a stainless steel over concrete or gunite. First, a Natare stainless steel pool offers a completely welded stainless steel pool shell. This means it won’t leak. When building a pool on the roof, amenity deck or high-rise floor, it is invaluable to know your pool will not leak below into the livable units/areas. Stainless steel pools are also incredibly lightweight compared to traditional materials. In fact, they can weigh up to 9/10s less the weight than concrete or gunite. Finally, a stainless steel pool can be delivered in multiple ways to the project site included a fully-built, sectionalized, or even stick-built.
